How To Reach Keywest-Navigating Your Way To A Tropical Escape

At the southernmost point of the country, Key West is a well-liked vacation spot that offers a distinctive fusion of tropical beauty and colorful culture. Numerous modes of transportation make it rather simple to travel to Key West. Here is how to get to Key West:

By Air

The most practical and efficient way to get to Key West is by plane. Major Florida cities are easily accessible from Key West International Airport (EYW), which also provides direct flights from a few American cities.

By Train

Despite the lack of a train station in Key West, you can still get to the city by train while taking in the scenery. The Silver Meteor and Silver Star trains, which make a stop in Miami, are run by Amtrak. You have two options for getting to Key West from Miami: either rent a car and go down the picturesque Overseas Highway, or take a bus or shuttle service.

By Car

Travelers who like road excursions and want to see the breathtaking scenery of the Florida Keys frequently choose to drive to Key West. U.S. Route 1—another name for the Overseas Highway—connects Key West to the mainland. I just took a road trip to Key West, and it was an experience I’ll never forget. I was in wonder as I drove along the highway, taking in the stunning vistas of the turquoise ocean and the picturesque islands.

Best Time To Go To Key West-Planning Your Visit Based On The Season

Key West, Florida, is a popular tourist destination all year round because of its beautiful beaches, tropical temperature, and energetic culture. However, certain periods of the year provide tourists with a more enjoyable experience. Knowing when to visit Key West might improve your trip, whether you want a busy setting or a tranquil getaway.

High Season: November To April

The winter months, when the climate is pleasant and dry, are when Key West has its peak tourist season. The island receives cooler weather from November to April, with the mid-70s to low 80s Fahrenheit (mid-20s to high 20s Celsius) being the norm. Higher hotel rates and busier streets are a result of the greater number of tourists at this time. When my sister went to Key West in February of last year, she claimed to have experienced the peak of the high season.

Shoulder Seasons: May And October

In Key West, May and October are considered the shoulder seasons because they provide a nice balance of nice weather and fewer tourists. The range of temperatures throughout these months is from the mid-20s to the low 30s Celsius (high 70s to mid-80s Fahrenheit). Because the island is less congested, you may easily experience well-liked sites and activities.

Low Season: June To September

Due to the higher likelihood of rainfall and potential for tropical storms, Key West’s summer months of June to September are considered to be the low season. However, Key West continues to experience warm weather, with highs in the 80s and lows in the 90s Fahrenheit (lows to mid-30s Celsius). Despite the occasional downpour, this time of year presents an opportunity to get fantastic lodging rates and discover Key West’s more sedate side.
